Backup compressed and uncompressed at the same time

    The large account is probably either failing or still being backed up. The backup process will copy all of the necessary files to a temporary backup directory. And once all of that is completed, and if you have compressed backups enabled, then it will tar and gzip (compress) that directory. It is not an "in-place" backup. If the tar and gzip part of the process is failing or has not yet commenced, then you'll continue to see the uncompressed temporary backup directory. If it's a large account, it can take a while to get all of the necessary parts into the temporary backup directory and it can take a while to tar and gzip that directory.
