ssl expired for hostname
When trying to open webmail or whm cpanel, i'm seeing a message that the certificate has expired for hostname.mydomain.com.
hostname.mydomain.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate expired on 20 April 2018, 00:59. The current time is 20 April 2018, 08:15.
If I open up "manage ssl hosts", I can see a certificate generated for
mail.mydomain.com
mydomain.com

In WHM >> Home >> Service Configuration >> Manage Service SSL Certificates, i found the SSL certificates for the hostname. These had an expiry date of 29.03.19 (next year) I reset them regardless, and now I can log in without the expiry warning. The server was moved to a different part of the data centre last night, so was switched off for 15 minutes. Would the reboot have caused this ? edit: To add to this, I went back for another look and under certificate details, the cert was listed as being 'self signed'. I'm not sure if resetting the certificates changed them to self signed or they were always self signed ? I've now assigned the CPanel issued certificate. 0 -
Hello, Resetting the certificate would have automatically installed a self-signed certificate until a cPanel certificate was issued. What could have occurred (and this is just speculation) is that the certificate expired and the new cPanel certificate had not been issued to the server prior to the move, then when you reset the certificate it re-initiated the automated hostname SSL certificate process. 0 -
sounds plausible. 0
