Dovecot: Mailbox sharing between users

Hello all, I would like to know if it is possible to easily share mailboxes between users. We are running cPanel v70.0.51 but I couldn't find such a feature. Recently I have found the following information: SharedMailboxes/Shared - Dovecot Wiki ...and it would be absolutely cool to be able to offer this feature. WebDav works fine, so I am able to offer syncing calendars and contacts. A combination with shared mailboxes and/or mail folders would be great.

  Hi @Bouke cPanel does not natively support this configuration at this time. I do see that there is currently an open feature request for the same though and I would strongly encourage you to log in and vote for the feature request here: dovecot shared folder/mailboxes Thanks!

  Whats wrong with using IMAP ? I've been sharing a mailbox with my colleage for more than 10 years. Or am i mis-interpretting what your'e trying to achieve.

  Shared mailboxes allow mail delegation without having to have a separate mail account or allow access directly to your account. Very similar to a shared calendar.
