Email Forwarders
Hi Support,
Just a quick question. This forwarder showed up on the Email Forwarders section on one of our customers CPanel account and we can't seem to remove it. We tried deleting it, and it says it's removed. But then when we come back in, it's still there. Have you had this issue before?
The email forwarder is site_blackhole@domainname.com that points to "/dev/null".

Hi, There might be some lock on the backend file that may be causing it to fail. Can you provide us with the logs of the cPanel access/error logs when you remove this folder what is logged in it? 0 -

No errors to be honest. When we delete the forwarder it verifies the deletion - (Mail for "site_blackhole@norwood.on.ca" will no longer be forwarded to ""/dev/null"".). Then after that, it will still show up on the forwarders.0 -
HI @whipworks If you remove it directly from the file at /etc/valiases/domain.tld
does it remain gone?0 -

Not from the file manger in the customers cPanel ........ from a root login in the /etc/valiases/~ folder 0 -
Hi @whipworks I apologize this would be accessible if you have SSH access, my assumption is that you do since your profile indicates you're a root level admin. Thanks! 0
