API failure You do not have access to an account named
Hi everyone,
Having issues when attempting to suspend an account via WHMCS.
Already spoken with WHMCS support, who advised that the error is provided by the server.
Spoken with my web host, who have been no help.
Anyone able to offer any advice?
Error:
API failure: (XID kshhur) You do not have access to an account named "someusr"
API Response:
{"metadata":{"reason":"API failure: (XID d4jyf9) You do not have access to an account named "someusr".","version":1,"result":0,"command":"suspendacct"}}

Hi @LukeMJH It sounds like a permissions issue with that account, do you get the same result when attempting to suspend the account using the following directly from the server: WHM API 1 Functions - suspendacct - Developer Documentation - cPanel Documentation whmapi1 suspendacct user=$USER reason=$somereason0 -
My problem was that during the process of deleting the account, I touched another option in the Cpanel menu (thinking that the process was going to continue in the background) but in the end I deleted it in the middle. Now it appears as suspended, if I want to delete it it gives this error: API failure: (XID yvamem) You do not have a user named ... I think it's a Cpanel bug. How is it fixed? 0 -
Now it appears as suspended,
is thre an option to activate it from suspension and try to delete again? in whm list accounts0 -
If you have the option to unsuspend it, that would certainly be easier. If not, you may need to either manually delete the account by ensuring all files are removed, or open a ticket with our support team to have us take a look. 0
