    Can you also let me know the kernel version you're currently running?

    Hi @cPanelLauren kcarectl --set-patch-type free --update
    shows No patches applied, but some are available, run 'kcarectl --update'.
    running kcarectl --update
    shows Downloading updates substring not found
    My kernel version is 3.10.0-693.11.6.el7.centos.plus.x86_64

    Hi @Peter Smith That's not exactly what I had asked to run but I think it still answers my question. If you're only trying to run the kernelcare symlink protection patch this isn't compatible with the kernel you have installed. KernelCare's symlink protection (free ) patch is ONLY compatible with stock the stock CentOS kernel, in your case you're running a CentOS plus kernel. Thanks!
