EasyApache Upgrade Fails & YUM Fails

Any ideas?

    I'm really glad to hear that!
    However ym still fails;

    The packages it's trying to install are requiring dependencies to be resolved and I believe they're these packages: Requires: php-composer Requires: php-posix Requires: php-readline Requires: php-pcntl
    Are any of these installed on the system right now? rpm -qa |egrep 'composer|posix|readline|pcntl'

    Hello @Edrick Smith You are missing some of those so I think the issue is partly that some are missing and partly that what it's looking for are packages from the epel repo which could cause conflicts with packages from other repositories.

    So would you say this is a cPanel issue or CentOS

    I would say it's a repo issue, epel is a 3rd party repository though it may be beneficial to have one of our analysts take a closer look if you like.     With the same issue and the same package haha! And I actually very suspicious the package errors issue is from c-panel and yum together. (cPanelLauren i promise you is from cPanel or eazyapach4) This happened to me from the last update of cPanel before 2 days ago (i will not lie the WebHost is signing on the update) MY SERVER IS VPS cPanel/WHM v86.0.18 CENTOS 7.7 Virtuozzo [server] can look here... the problem is in the interface... start after the first update v86.0.18 this is a screenshot: THE UPDATE GO TO THE BOTTOM YOU WILL SEE THE SAME ERROR WITH ALMOST THE SAME PACKAGE LIKE THE FIRST GUY. problem You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest Often errors like this can be resolved by running `yum makecache` System update process has finished.
    When you tell the Webhosting (in my case In Motion Hosting official vendor of cPanel Licensed ) what is this package, they deny like you, and say this is a 3rd party from "yum". (I never ever install "yum" commend in my life. this is the first time I actually get inside "YUM" commend because they refuse to help me). so.. i make a backup on the drive and start test a lot of commends lines... package-cleanup --problems package-cleanup --dupes package-cleanup --cleandupes
    and sudo yum update sudo yum upgrade --bugfix
    and many many more... nothing actually rebuild the system with a new cache and swap files... ( in my case don't have memory swap because of the issue ) screenshots of the memory service inside c-panel and config of the swap ( yum command fix it but I don't know how) I am sure when if i was able to fix this package errors, the system update will do update with command line "yum makecache". But the package error does not go away... and swap does not create automatically as he should. So i stuck like you buddy :) HOPE WE WILL GET BETTER SOLUTION HERE.

    Just like the other user you need to disable epel to complete this. These are package conflicts because you're using packages from different repositories with different package names as dependencies. You should be installing these packages from either the EA4 repo, CentOS base or CentOS updates repositories. What's the output of the following: yum list installed | grep @epel

I did a couple of cmd and remove the yum cache folder and commend "yum makecache" and i don't know if i did it haha but all the swap swift to physical memory! :) :) :) still, performance is not good... this because of the issue with "epel package", and we don't have any swap... I am 80% sure "sudo yum makecache" did it, (and not forget swap file can be created by yum commend so i pretty sure everything is connected to each other: yum ) after i actually delete the folder of the cache. this what makes this 4gb physical ( original is was 1.5 and 2.5 swap, very bad tuning of the server ), this a screenshot of the 4GB AFTER THE yum makecache command line: and this before i did "yum makecache" and delete the folder. Very wired... this situation with the memory is my hosting provider responsibility... ( but like I explained before this hosting provider is very bad service and unprofessional ) So.. of course, I will understand if you don't want help with the swap file, but at least help me with the epol pack like the first guy here... i fix one problem is easier to deal with this provider.     Hello, So, first of all, you need to ensure that none of those packages from that list are provided by the standard repositories.     Second, I'd suggest disabling epel and running an update of yum to ensure that you have all necessary components: yum --disablerepo=epel check-update

problem You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest Often errors like this can be resolved by running `yum makecache` System update process has finished.     I would say it's a repo issue, epel is a 3rd party repository though it may be beneficial to have one of our analysts take a closer look if you like.     The problem was the drush package (for Drupal from what I know) that was installed most likely by the host rather than coming in from the cPanel bundle. I removed the package rather than removing and reinstalling. Here's the technical response from cPanel. The errors we can see in the yum logs show us that there are package conflicts with the installed drush rpm that is looking for other rpms that haven't been installed as part of the php-composer environment. All of the required packages are either directly related to the drush rpm itself, or an rpm that it is dependent on. This problem does not appear to be related to or caused by cPanel or by the basic configuration of the cPanel-bundled software.
