    That won't cause any problems.

I also agree this shouldn't cause any issues. Thanks @GOT

I have one main shared IP for the server: IP1 I have one dedicated IP for my root cPanel account: IP2 I found that my four nameservers use IP2, I don't know why, maybe I did this or the host set this up during installation.
    • Is it advisable to use the main server IP1 here or you can use any IP you like, it doesn't matter?
    • What is the benefit of dedicating an IP address(es) to nameservers (IP2, IP4, IP5 in the example above)?
    • Can each nameserver have its own IP?
NOTE: My nameservers are registered with glue records pointing them to my IP1. NOTE: My hostname is a subdomain of my main domain, which may be why they set up IP2 on the nameservers.

1 - You are welcome to use any IP you like - cPanel doesn't particularly care about your nameserver configuration. 2 - There is no benefit at all to using a dedicated IP for the nameservers. Many (I would say a vast majority) of cPanel systems are single-IP machines 3 - Yes

Thank you! One more question: To register nameservers globally it is required to create glue records at the domain registrar and point nameservers to an IP. Do nameservers need to point to the same IP in the DNS Zone on the server via A records?

And since I've already figured out how to do it, here is a little tutorial for those who are looking to achieve the same: CHANGE NAMESERVERS' IPS
    • [COLOR=rgb(184, 49, 47)]WHM > Server Configuration > Basic WebHost Manager" Setup > Nameservers > Configure Address Records
    • [COLOR=rgb(41, 105, 176)]WHM > Server Configuration > Terminal > Run script /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/updatenameserverips to update Nameserver Record Report
    • [COLOR=rgb(65, 168, 95)]WHM > DNS Functions > Nameserver Record Report > Check Nameservers' A Records For the Presence of New IP
    • [COLOR=rgb(65, 168, 95)]WHM > DNS Functions > DNS Zone Manager > Nameservers' Domain > Manage > Check Nameservers' A Records For the Presence of New IP
    • [COLOR=rgb(65, 168, 95)]FileZilla > /var/cpanel/nameserverips.yaml > Check Nameservers For the Presence of New IP

Yes, the nameserver registration needs to happen at the registrar level and is controlled with DNS. The option in WHM >> Basic WebHost Manager Setup just controls what NS records get written to each DNS zone you create.

But does the IP address need to be the same in glue records at the domain registrar and Basic WebHost Manager Setup?

    Ideally, yes.
