Autoresponder & email forwarder exceptions
utoresponder A) How to add exceptions autoresponder
B) How to add exceptions to email forwarder
I have official "support@example.com" where I recieve questions/requests.
So, first I recieve question:
1) Email from comes from a clients email (question@example.com) to my support email (support@example.com)
2A) Autoresponder answers "you will get answer soon"
2B) Forwarder sends email from support@example.com to 3 administrators (admin1@example.com, admin2@example.com, admin3@example.com)
(All good for now)
Then one admin answers:
3) admin1@example.com responds to question@example.com (while keeping support@example.com in cc so all conversations stay on main account, and other admins get it through forwarder)
- Here come an issue(s)
4A) Autoresponder answers to admin "you will get answer soon"
* It is quite obwious that this is irritating for admin and needs autoresponder exception for all admins
4B) Forwarder sends email from support@example.com to 3 administrators (admin1@example.com, admin2@example.com, admin3@example.com).
** Same as abowe, but here I need forwardernot to forward email only to admin that sended email (admin1@example.com)
Help
Thank you

I don't think that this is possible using the standard tools. Maybe a work around would be to compliment this with a filter or multiple filters. Let the system send the auto responder to all recipients, but then create a filter to filter it out. For admin1 maybe something along the lines: If from address = admin2@ or from address = admin3@ and to address contains support@, then discard. It would need some thinking about. 0 -
Not an option. Admins have their own email accounts on a different platforms (such as gmail / yahoo / hotmail...). That would require me to login, learn all of those platforms and then hope that they actually support multiple options for filtrating. Also it would give me access to their personal emails (which would actually be fun to read :-D ) What would work on a server, would be something like: - Responder: If from admin1, admin2 or admin3 then don't respond - Forwarder: If from admin1, admin2 or admin3 then don't forward to sender But I do not know where and how to do that. 0 -
I'm struggling to get my head around the scenario. 0 -
While this might require a combination of email filters and forwarders I'm wondering if you've taken a look at the mailing list option? You can read about the mailing lists here: Mailing Lists - Version 82 Documentation - cPanel Documentation 0 -
Mailing list have same limitations in this case. 0 -
Hello @IDOS, Can you share a little more background about what you're attempting to accomplish with this setup? For example, what's the primary goal/task you are attempting to perform? Thank you. 0
