Hey there! I'm sorry to hear you experienced issues with the update. Could you share just the error portion of the log here so we could see that message? Once we see that we may be able to let you know how to fix this issue.

Specifically, yum found that there was no libevent package to be installed: [2019-12-20 06:44:18 +0200] No package libevent available.
This is a package provided by the CentOS Base repository and is a necessary OS package. If this issue is not resolved, what is the output of the following? rpm -qa |grep libevent

Hey there, we are having the exact same error. I get no output for: rpm -qa |grep libevent
    Thanks, Tino

Have you tried running "yum install libevent" to see if that package will install normally on the machine? If that is missing, that is all that should need to happen, but this package is controlled by the operating system and not cPanel so that is something that would need to happen manually with that Yum command.

Thanks for the quick reply. When tryin gto install I get this output: Loaded plugins: product-id, search-disabled-repos, subscription-manager, : universal-hooks
May be we don't have the rights to do this and need to have the server proiver do this? I remember we had issues with the RPMs before. Best, Tino

I would expect there to be much more output from an RPM install on the system, as that line you have included is only the first line of about twenty that I would expect to see when installing a package. It might be best to speak with the hosting provider to make sure Yum and the RPM system is working properly on the machine before trying that work again.

It is actually doing something but taking a while to give th full output. I'm trying it again. Thanks

Seems like this failed several times now due to non reachable mirrors. I'm asking the server provider to take care of this. Thanks for the update. It might be best to have an admin review the entire Yum and RPM system on that box. There's some details at this link that show options for dealing with delta rpms if you wanted to check those out:
