Hello, The migration process is detailed here, The EasyApache 3 to EasyApache 4 Migration Process | cPanel & WHM Documentation and should be pretty troublefree at this point EasyApache Basics can be found here: Basics | cPanel & WHM Documentation 0 -
I updated from EA3 to EA4 a few years ago. It wasn't difficult and I had no issues. As for a user friendly introduction. EA allows you to make changes to Apache and PHP. It allows you to add or take away different PHP versions, modules and security features. However, personally, I feel that's about as friendly as it gets. There are tons of different PHP modules to choose from, knowing exactly what each one does would take forever to learn. I could only suggest to go with a standard build. And If you have time to tweak it, do a bit of research and experiment before going live. What works for some, might not work for others. 0 -
Thank you so much So first i should update cpanel,whm php versions, then i could do the upgrade 0 -

Hello, I'd update to PHP 5.6 and then update to v66 then run the migration script. Once that's done you should be able to update to v84 0 -
Hi I would like to know if these steps are right for easyapache upgrade in hostmonster 1 backup of site 2 upgrade easyapache 3 upgrade mySql and Mariadb 4 upgrade php 5 upgrade cpanel/whm 0 -
The hosting provider is irrelevant in this instance. I'll order the steps including your points the way that I had them ordered previously: - Backup server (all sites/dbs etc.)
- Upgrade the PHP version on the server
- Upgrade MySQL/MariaDB
- Update cPanel/WHM to v66
- Migrate from EA3->EA4
- Update cPanel/WHM to RELEASE
0 -
But in order to obtain the option to upgrade php mysql and mariadb on whm, EA should be migrated first ?? 0 -
You should be able to move to PHP 5.6 on EA3. Your MySQL version shouldn't have anything to do with EA3->EA4 conversion 0
