Hello, I fixed the issue by deleting the CNAME record for mail.domain.tld and changing it to an A record and after deleting the MX record and making a new one pointing to mail.domain.tld. This can be closed. Thank You

That is exactly how you fix it. Make sure mail exchanger is set to automatic or local.

What happened was you pointed your domain away, left the MX record to the old record which pointed it to the same place as your domain. Glad you were able to find the issue.

Is it possible to make this changes from cPanel only? Some domain registrar don't offer access to domain management. Thanks for any help :)

@pakeydev - yes, if your host allows you to edit the DNS zone *and* your server is also the namserver for your domain. You'd have to speak with your hosting provider or datacenter to confirm.
