IMAP numbers (suddenly logged out of Outlook)
Hi!
Today I was logged out of my Outlook and can't sign back in. Been in contact with the support and they suggested me to get the correct numbers. Does somebody know what they are?
Attached screencaps of the error messages and I pasted their reply below: (the numbers they suggest don't work in any combination)
"Thank you for the screenshot. In this case, you need to put in the port numbers for your IMAP Incoming and SMTP Outgoing server to be able to connect to your account. You can get these details from your email service provider.
Once you have the correct port numbers, just add it using the format below.
Incoming mail server:
imap.servername.com:000 (Usually 993 or 143)
Outgoing mail server:
smtp.servername.com:000 (Usually 465 or 25)
Keep in mind the colon is important."
If someone knows how to fix this you will be saving my life!
Thanks in advance a LOT!

First things first. Remove your images or at least obfuscate your details. This is a hack waiting to happen. I assume that you could connect at some point ? Has anything changed at your end ? What is smtp.servername.com:000 I've never seen a server name with a colon after it. Is this even possible It looks like an Apple device, I'm not familiar with the IOS account setup screen. 0 -
I don't know why they'd ask you to add in :000 it doesn't associate with a port, unless they're using 000 to instead represent 993/143 for imap or 110/995 for pop. Your MX record is using yourdomain.tld so for Inbound POP/IMAP server it would be yourdomain.tld regardless of their requesting imap.yourdomain.tld as it doesn't exist. So it would look like this depending on whether you wanted SSL/non-ssl or pop/imap: POP Inbound SSL: Host: yourdomain.tld Port: 995 POP Inbound non-SSL: Host: yourdomain.tld port: 110 IMAP Inbound SSL: Host: yourdomain.tld Port: 993 IMAP inbound non-SSl: Host: yourdomain.tld Port: 143 SMTP Host (Outbound): yourdomain.tld SSL: 465 STARTTLS: 587 Plain: 25 0
