Landing page on hostnames
Hi,
I have a WHM server and an external DNSOnly server. I'm trying to figure out how to put landing pages on both hostnames. If someone visits the hostname example.domain.uk they just get the default defaultwebpage.cgi. The WHM server is running Litespeed, is it possible to run apache on the hostname and Litespeed for everything else? Or is there an easier solution to this?
As for the DNSOnly server, I'd have to install apache would I? Are there complications to doing this on a DNSOnly server?
It's just the defaultwebpage.cgi is useless, I need people to know where they have landed and where to go from there.

You can modify the default webpage. This can be done at WHM>>Account Functions>>Web Template Editor 0 -

Hi @cPanelLauren , I have seen this, I actually just want to pop some more advanced landing pages on the hostname. So was hoping to run it through PHP/Apache. Is this not possible? I remember doing it once before and it was a bit of a nightmare, but I managed to do it. Just can't remember how!0 -
The default landing page template doesn't work with Litespeed. We bought Litespeed because it's heavily promoted on the WHM interface. But this functionality of default home / landing page for Litespeed does not work. See screenshots. That's me logged in as root and at the Web Template Editor interface. Instead what Litespeed clients get is a 404. So the Litespeed software causes newly deployed websites to produce a 404. I wouldn't mention this if it wasn't for the fact that our customer services has to field calls about this, something in the lines of: "We've just bought a web hosting service from you. It's producing an error. Is there something wrong with your service?" Yes, I realize some users are naive. But we need all kinds of users to scale. Any tips how to get Litespeed to respect the WHM setting? I would ask Litespeed direct but since WHM promotes this software SO heavily in their interface I imagine I can ask here too. 0
