CPANEL-34821 - Can't change cpanel password
I have a server I use for my clients websites, each client has a cpanel account. It was suggested I change passwords for cpanel accounts. I was recently blacklisted but I have fixed that now and I am not on any blacklists.
Problem is when I try to change the cpanel passwords I get this messsage "The password that you entered is not a valid password."
I have tried with the Password Generator and without but I get the same result.
Also I tried it in the individual cpanel accounts and on the List Accounts page in WHM.
I am concerned this might have something to do with the blacklist situation.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Where are you changing the passwords? 0 -
Since JDWeb did not answer, and I am having the same issue. I will say that I am using the Password & Security tool located in the drop down under my account name in the upper right corner of my cpanel dashboard. It takes me to this url: .../frontend/paper_lantern/passwd/index.html I use the Password Generator, when I click "Change Password Now!" it tells me it is not a valid password. 0 -
Password change DOES work from "Home "Account Functions "Password Modification" 0 -
Hey @jasgot - thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'm doing some testing on this now and I'll update you soon. 0 -
It looks like this is resolved in version 92, but I've created case CPANEL-34821 so we can track this issue. I'm going to set this thread to "In Progress" so I remember to check in on it as I get more details. 0 -
