How to recover email due to moving email to local folders and then became blank like corrupt

Our email server was also cpanel and our email app was thunderbird We need to move the email to local folder so that the email storage would not full. but what happen is the email that we moved became blank and empty content. is there's away to recover ?

  Personally, I'd have used copy instead of move, but hey ho. If you were using Imap, then it may take a while for the folders to synchronise. Can you open up a webmail session and check your sent items If you were using POP3, then I'd suggest maybe asking on a Thunderbird forum.

  I agree with @keat63 as far as why it's showing up blank. If the email was successfully moved and it shows up like this in thunderbird I'd assume this is an issue with thunderbird
