Login to WHM go to Backup Configuration and select "per account and mysql database" backup:)

Another thing might be to show us what you're selecting when you do choose to perform backups.

This is my first post on this forum. I'm having issues with the cPanel backup feature; it's not backing up my database, and I've tried twice with no luck... Solutions are required.

@craigocasio can you open a new thread with this? possibly with more info what error you get if you are initiating a manual backup (/scripts/pkgacct username)

@craigocasio Andrew is correct! If you could open a new thread with more information, that would be very helpful.

The cPanel backup option is giving me problems; just like the prior time, it's not backing up my database, and I've tried twice without success. There must be solutions.

@craigocasio - do you have root access to the server? If so, I would recommend trying to manually dump the database with the mysqldump command to see if that is successful: cd /var/lib/mysql mysqldump database_name > database_backup.sql If that doesn't work, the cPanel tools will also not be successful. If you don't have root access to the machine you would need to speak with your hosting provider or datacenter to have them investigate this issue.
