Sender verified failed Mailbox is full / Blocks limit exceeded / Inode limit exceeded
Hello
When a user in my server tried to send a email and the mailbox is full gets this error: " Sender verified failed Mailbox is full / Blocks limit exceeded / Inode limit exceeded "
1) the capacity of the mailbox is always taken into account for sending and receiving mail?
2) Is there any setting so that it doesn't check the mailbox capacity when sending mail?
Thanks

This is an error message from the server that receives the mail. Your server sends a message to another, this cannot receive it and tells you why. I hope I've helped 0 -
I agree with @Handssler Lopez - unless we are mis-reading the error, it seems like this notification is coming from the remote system and is not an issue with your server. Do you have a full copy of the mail log, edited to remove sensitive information, that you could post so we could confirm this? 0 -
hello this the log i have: 2020-10-04 19:52:08 H=(PC2) [190.XXX.YYY.ZZZ]:53868 sender verify fail for : Mailbox is full / Blocks limit exceeded / Inode limit exceeded 2020-10-04 19:52:08 H=(PC2) [190.XXX.YYY.ZZZ]:53868 F= A=dovecot_login:abi@empresa.com rejected RCPT : Sender verify failed abi@empresa.com in the account in my server and tried to send a mail to zzzzz@gmail.com the mailbox of abi@empresa.com is full and can not send the mail thanks 0 -
Thanks for the additional details. If the email account is full and causing quota problems for the domain that would explain the issues you're seeing. Can you increase the quota for the mail user or delete some messages to free up space and see if that resolves the problem? 0 -
increasing the quota solves the problem so the quota is for all the mails ( incoming, outcoming, spam, etc) ?? 0 -
Hello @gtiesp That is correct, the mailbox quota affects sending and receiving mail, including spam. Please let us know if you have any questions. 0 -

I am having the same issues. I cannot receive any emails. I have cleared out all spam and the trash. I have deleted many inbox and sent messages. I have had the quota increased to 6GB. Still not receiving any emails. 0 -
@rmulcahy - can you let me know if you receive any errors on the sender end, such as a bounceback message? Is this affecting all accounts on the machine or just certain email addresses? Once I know that information I can let you know the best details on how to proceed. 0 -
I know this an OLD message but had the same issue. The receiving mailbox was on the same server the sending account was on. It was the receiving mailbox that was at/over quota. 0
