Sort order not retained on refresh

Hi, My service provider uses CPanel Version 90.0.16. - Is there a way to specify a default sort order for files in the file manager, i.e. every time I login into File Mgr I would like a particular sort order. It's a pain setting sort order each time. - How can we fix the sort order? After every refresh or even a minor change in file lists (after a file edit etc) the sort order vanishes. Regards Amal

  Hey there, Currently there is not an option to keep that sort order after a refresh as a sort of 'default' setting. When I login to File Manager on a test machine I see directories first, then file names, in alphabetical order, much like what you would see when connecting to an FTP client. What sort order would you like to see? It may be best to submit a feature request using the link in my signature as our development team reviews those submissions and it also allows other users to vote for your request.

  Sort by date - descending is what I wanted to see. Yes, will file a Feature Request although CPanel's record there is DISMAL. My last request is pending for 5 YEARS for a very basic feature is still waiting for votes to satisfy CPanel (somebody else initiated it 7 years back). I wonder what kind of productivity their development team has?

  I don't disagree - some of the feature requests have been sitting for a long time with seemingly little or no action. There's also never a guarantee that any feature that gets submitted will get implemented, as it's a combination of votes, functionality, and if it makes sense for the future of the product.
