buy licenses with providers

cPanel licenses are by IP address. If you are renting a server/VPS, then the license belongs to the provider, not to you. If you actually buy and provide your own license, I'd suggest contacting your license provider about transferring the license.

Thanks for your help, do you indicate that the license is associated with the IP number. If I rent the license with that provider, then when I change my provider (and I change VPS) I must buy another license? with the other provider? What happens if I buy the license and "activate" it with one provider and then I want to switch to another? I think everything would be simpler if the license associated with the domain is used.

Hello, All cPanel licenses (now days) are month to month. As far as changing providers goes, as I said, check with whomever you are going to get the license from and see if it can be transferred between IP's. Even if you can't, worst case your paying double for one month.

If you have hosting and your cPanel license with Provider A, and you decide to switch to provider B, the license would also be canceled. You'd need to get a new license at Provider B when you make the switch. Purchasing the license directly through us does get you priority support in our ticket system if you wanted to take advantage of that.
