Emails go to spam
Hello,
So I have a bit of an oddball scenario and I'll try and word it as best I can. I have two domains under my WHM account. They both have cPanels. The problem I'm facing is that the email accounts on domain A send and receive perfectly fine, but the email accounts on domain B, the main domain, receive emails but when email is sent it goes to spam. Especially gmail. DKIM and SPF are enabled globally and authentication is turned on. Could someone give me some insight? If it helps for troubleshooting purposes I am the root admin for this server.

Hey there! If you send a message to Gmail, does it show all the checks being passed when you choose the "Show Original" option to view the headers? They've recently added a nice summary at the top of that page that shows the DKIM and other security checks, so that would be a good place to start. If both addresses on the same server are behaving differently, it may be best to try and contact Gmail directly to see how they are handling those messages. 0 -
I see both email addresses passing both DKIM and SPF checks. Message ID <7898653c-f151-49b9-b62e-4dd62cf7c6b6@edison> Created at: Mon, Dec 28, 2020 at 10:28 AM (Delivered after 1 second) From: Origination Email To: Destination Email Subject: Test SPF: PASS with IP 000.00.000.00 Learn more DKIM: 'PASS' with domain domain.com Learn more
Both of those emails had the same message.0 -
That's very interesting. I still think it would be good to contact Gmail directly on this to see why they are handling one differently if they both authenticate properly, since there isn't anything you can change on the server-side to further improve delivery at that point. 0 -
Thanks for the help! I actually just checked my email deliverability settings and the DKIM and SPF keys were actually never installed. so I manually copied and pasted both keys into the DNS Zones and now both emails send and receive flawlessly. 0 -
I'm glad it turned out to be that easy! 0 -
Yes it was, however that did not work across all websites. I added another domain of mine to my WHM, and same thing happened. All emails get sent to spam. I don't want to update this manually for every client. Is there a solution? 0 -
There is :D You can go to WHM >> Tweak Settings and make sure that both "Enable SPF on domains for newly created accounts" and "Enable DKIM on domains for newly created accounts" are both set to "on" so this happens automatically for future accounts. 0 -
I definitely appreciate the quick feedback. I did a quick check on my end and it looks like DKIM and SPF were both already enabled so I am not sure why it's still being sent to spam. 0 -
Since this seems to happen with new domains on your machine it might be a good idea to open a ticket with our team so we can check that directly on the machine. 0
