Cannot find my backup Folder
Hey everyone! I've been going through the forum but have not been able to find what I'm looking for. Keep in mind, I'm not an experienced CPANEL\WHM user, but have a server that I use to host a few accounts\websites.
I had some assistance some time ago from a friend helping me set up a secondary drive on my server /home2, to store backups on.I've now run into an issue where a large dev site was left "on" for backups and backed up every day filling up my drive. (thats been turned off now that I found it), but for the life of me I cannot find the backup files so I can delete them!
Here's what I can see and what I know.
In backup configuration, I've setup remote (google drive) backups and those are working fine. The default backup directory (absolute path) is set to /backup and the backup staging directory is also set to /backup.
Backups are set to daily, and to retention is set at 4.
I have two drives. Home and Home2. Through the console I can see that both have a "backup" folder, but neither have any back up files in them.
Looking at the latest backup log file here - /usr/local/cpanel/logs/cpbackup, I can see the following:
Successfully backed up account "sitename" to "/backup/2020-12-30/accounts"
Any insight or tips would be appreciated!

Hey there! It sounds like the backups are being written to "/backup" which is just another directory at the same level as /home and /home2. You'd need SSH access to the server to see /backup, but typing in "cd /backup" in the terminal should move you to the correct location where you'll be able to see that data. Can you try that and let me know if that works? 0 -
Thanks for the response! Unfortunately in the /backup folder there are not any files! Its really strange. 0 -
I see your profile says you have root access to the system - if that's correct, feel free to submit a ticket to our team and we can check it on our end :D 0
