cant retrive list in ftp
Hi. I have used cpanel a lot in the past but it was always through a server company that installed it
I have now run a server on amazon's lightsail (I do not think there is a problem. cause my cpanel look ok. and the site i started work very nice)
so, I installed cpanel.
Everything looks wonderful. But I cant connect to ftp. I guess there's some initial definition I missed.
I would appreciate your assistance

The title is a bit misleading, because really at some point I got to the point where the folders were not displayed (do not know how) but now the situation does not happen either Now the message is: Disconnected from server Connection failed. 0 -
Hi. I tried to keep track of the links you sent me. I have to admit I am not so versed in ssh so some of the things I may not have done properly. Anyway I tried .. attaching the message I receive (screenshot) Also in cpanel I see that connections are being made. Every time I try to connect. Thanks. 0 -
Does it ever get past that point and provide an error message? If not, it would seem that passive FTP is the issue. Were you able to get that passive port range opened in the server's firewall? 0 -
Hello, Just something i notice but that screenshot looks like winscp scp is another protocol than ftp are you by any chance trying to authenticate via pubkey authentication ?. 0 -
no. try to connect in simple ftp way. i dont no what it how to get the passive port range in the lightsail.... ill be very happy for some help 0 -
o.k got it. just have to give the IPv4 Firewall another tcp with the passive ports : 49152 -> 65535. now it works. 0 -
