Installation not Working
Hey Guys,
when i Run the Installation Script this shows off:
There are no enabled repos.
Run "yum repolist all" to see the repos you have.
You can enable repos with yum-config-manager --enable
tar must be installed before proceeding!
tar is /bin/tar
I installed Tar, and yum, but i dont know what to do, can somebody help me?
Cheers

Hey there! "yum" and "tar" aren't things I would expect you to have to install as those would be included with the base operating system. Can you please run the following command on the system and send me the output? cat /etc/redhat-release0 -
Well when i run this, it says "No such file or directory" :/ 0 -
That's very odd. Do you happen to know the operating system you are using for the install? 0 -
Yes, btw you can ask me everything about this Server im the Server Administrator, thats my Dedicated Server Its on Ubuntu-18.04 Cheers 0 -
That's going to be the issue then, as Ubuntu is not currently supported. While we do plan to add that later this year, you'll need to use CentOS 7 at this time. You can find more details on the installation requirements here: System Requirements | cPanel & WHM Documentation 0 -
Are you planning to support Ubuntu ? Centos is old and discussing system. Many people not like but use cuz Cpanel for now support only Centos. Other question is why you not support little company who wanna use cpanel. You support big hosting provider. Hosting provider give 0.30$ for use cpanel per client im wanna use single account or multi account and need pay 15$ or 26$. This is so match. For shared hosting now im pay 15$ and im wanna make own server but when im looking your price better stay on shared hosting. You not support little company who wanna make small server whit 1 account or 5 account. That its not correct. And why you delete my post. Im ask normal question without brake forum rules ? it is forbidden to ask awkward questions here ? This is your support ? This is your attitude towards customers ? 0 -
@spikerrbg - your post wasn't deleted, but since you are a newer user they still have to be approved. Once you reach five posts on the forum you will no longer have to wait for them to be approved by a moderator before they will show up. We do plan to support Ubuntu later this year. You can find more details in this thread: The cPanel Solo option, which would allow you to create one account, is$15 per month, while the Admin license allows up to 5 accounts and is$22 per month. You may want to look around at different hosts as many of our partners include cPanel as part of their hosting plan. 0 -
Hello friend. Thanks for answer. That good news to support and Ubuntu. Friend im wanna say for small company like me price is high for us. Cuz we wanna make small server for own use. Im wanna say cpanel give so good price on hosting provider but for small company like me who wanna make server and use Cpanel price its so high. 0 -
We're excited about Ubuntu as well! While I can't do anything about the prices on my end, you'll find that shopping around at different hosting providers will cause the price to vary quite a bit, as many often include cPanel in their hosting fee so you don't have to pay additionally for the software. 0
