Hi CPANEL-35382 and CPANEL-24094 these backup issues on remote incremental backup with Rsync have been open for ages where will this get fixed?

    Hey there! I spoke with the manager of the Backups team and he let me know CPANEL-21358 is a complicated issue. It's being worked on, but there's currently no timeframe for when it will be resolved. CPANEL-35382 was just opened a couple weeks ago, and would likely be fixed in tandem with CPANEL-21358, but I just don't have much to report at this time.

    Hello CPANEL-35382 has been open for 4 months... I really think backup function should be "critical" but why this seemed not the case here...

    I've sent a message to the backup team and I'll let you know what they have to say as soon as I get more details. I can say that a lot of resources are being put toward the Ubuntu rollout happening later this year, but I'll let you know as soon as I hear something.

    I've confirmed the team is working on that case, but there isn't an estimate of when the fix will be available. I'll be sure to keep this thread updated as I get more details.

    Since CPANEL-24094 is an older case I doubt it will get a fix at this point. The backup team does want to tackle CPANEL-35382 at some point, but with all the Ubuntu planning I can't say for sure when that will happen. I have been informed it is a large change that will need significant development time, but I don't have any updates at this point.
