Emails from one person arrive normally but also generate a bounce Reason: Permanent Error
I have a person who is trying to send me emails. All of the emails arrive in my mailbox as intended, however she also receives a bounce email for each one of them with the subject line "Permanent Error" and in the text of the message saying the message was not delivered:
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.
Delivery to the following recipients failed permanently:
* in@mydomain.com
Reason: Permanent Error
Any idea why they would get a bounce if the message is being delivered? This seems to be the only person having this problem.

Do you have any forwards or auto-reponders setup? 0 -
If you have root access to the server, you could also check the /var/log/exim_mainlog file to see what is triggering that as that would almost certainly get you more detail about the issue. 0
