CPANEL-36392 - Bug in Dynamic DNS
When you create a new DDNS domain and enter domain manually, it's not saved with any IP address.

Hey there! Can you get me more details on the issues you're seeing? The IP address field is optional for the DDNS tool, so this isn't something that has to be created by default. 0 -
Are your for real now? I know its optional. But why do you make it and show it to customer when it does not work at all? Did you even try it before answering me? 0 -
I didn't test anything on my end yet because I'm not sure what you're seeing. Can you let me know specifically what isn't working with this tool? Once I have those details I can do more testing on my end. 0 -
Takes you 5 sec to test it. Here are the screenshots. It's as simple as adding a ddns record with a manual IP, where manual IP does not work. 0 -
I tested this interface on my end and found the main cPanel >> Dynamic DNS page does not appear to show the IP address associated with the Dynamic DNS record after it has been created. I'm not sure if this is a functionality issue or just a problem with the user interface at this time, so I have created case CPANEL-36392 for our developers to look into this behavior. Hi. We"re looking at this right now. Out of curiosity, since you have to set up a device with the URL anyway, what advantage does setting an initial IP address offer versus just hitting the URL once from your device? 0 -

Don't think there are many advantages as long as URL does work. But if it should be there it should at least work. Any eta for a fix?0 -

We"ve got it in our backlog, but there"s no formal ETA. You can watch the changelog, though, for CPANEL-36392.0
