End of Life notification - meaning?

I'm notified by automatic email from my system that " Your system"s cPanel & WHM version (11.86.0.38) will reach End of Life in 1 day". - Does this mean that the system will not receive any updates etc, or - does it mean that the system will not work anymore? I'm not able to upgrade the current installation because "Newer releases of cPanel & WHM are not compatible with your operating system".

  Hello there! It sounds like your machine is running CentOS 6 - can you confirm if that is the case? If so, the notice is just letting you know that your machine would not be eligible to update to any future version. We have more details about this in our guide here:

  Hi, Thanks for the information. Yes, the server is CENTOS 6.10. Good news at least that I can still use the current Cpanel installation after the end of life day.

  Yes, everything will continue to work as normal on the machine, as the lack of updates will not stop or change any services.
