2 Server IPs and 1 cPanel Admin License

Hi there, We have 2 servers. Server A: 1 website domain. Server B: 2 website domains. Can we just buy one cPanel Admin license and use it on both servers? In other words, can we buy 1 cPanel license with 2 IP addresses? I understand that with 1 cPanel Admin license, we can have 5 domains/accounts. Many thanks, Hameed

  Hey there! Each machine that runs cPanel will need a unique license. Accounts can not be spread across multiple systems even though you may not be using the total number of available accounts for your license type.

  That is a shame. In my scenario, I wanted to have a single website running production/live on one server and a backup server, so two different IP's which would mean two cPanel licences. Difficult to justify when one server is likely to never be used or require cPanel tech support.

  Currently we don't have any built-in failover or high-availability options, but it is something that has been discussed a lot and something we're working toward for the future.
