    Hey there! That is correct - it is not designed so you can edit the DNS data on the DNSOnly system, as it should be receiving those records from the attached WHM server(s).

    Thank you for your answer @cPRex. Can you confirm it's a valid use case to change managed domain name primary DNS server to be the DNSOnly's, or is it only for secondary DNS? If it's valid, is there an impact regarding propagation time?

    They can be the primary nameservers for sure - that's how a majority of users have those configured. The only propagation time would be at the registrar level if you're updating the IP addresses of the nameservers themselves, so that should not take too long at all to update.
