Hey there! Could you try forcing a cPanel update to ensure everything related to the cPanel software is working well on the machine? You can do that by running "/scripts/upcp --force" on the system. 0 -

Hi there cPRex, I've already done it as I saw you did advise someone to do that in order to solve any cPanel issue.. I did it, but at the end, unfortunately, as I have an old OS, the new cPanel & WHM are not compatible. Though I am searching, once we can solve this issue, to do an upgrade or migration.. If you want I can do it again, and show you what it shows0 -
Although that command would not actually be able to update the cPanel software, it would still make sure the existing software isn't missing any critical components, and may still help the issue. Do you still see problems in the server after running that? 0 -

The best way is to Upgrade your Server to CloudLinux and KernalCare as they would automatically solve everything for you. By the way, Which OS are you using?0 -

I cant tell that I still see problems in the server as I ran /scripts/upcp --force after the following, shutdown -r now / shutdown -r 0 / reboot ( these three makes the server to be working again) at the moment, the server is up but, to be honest, I think It will go down again at any time..0 -

Hi there ankeshanand, cPanel & WHM current version are 86.0.38 and I have centOS 6.10 maybe?0 -
If you are not able to migrate to a CentOS 7 system, you can switch to CloudLinux to continue to receive updates to the cPanel and OS. You can find more details on this here: CentOS 6 EOL, CloudLinux 6 OS, and you! 0 -
Then You definitely need to Upgrade it to Version 96. It would solve most of the problems. Your CentOS 6 is no longer supported by cPanel, so probably you need to upgrade it as well. You can contact me at ankesh@cloudmate.in if You need quick help. I would be happy to help for free! 0 -

Is it a Server or a VPS? Because in a VPS, Upgrading OS is easy but in a Bare Metal, You need to do it with command line0 -
Thanks cprex, but let me ask, is there a solution for the issue I am having? Before making the upgrade, just to know how to solve it
Ther is definitely without upgrading but first you need to tell the whole story with server logs. What you could also do is contact cPanel support and grant them support access so that they would resolve everything if its in their hands0 -

Its a server, tough its not phisically where I am. But its not virtual0 -

If Its a VPS, on right hand side of WHM, It will write KVM or OpenVZ but if its a bare metal, It would write CentOS 6 To Perform an Upgrade from Centos6 to 7, Follow steps below: (Backup the server before) preupg rpm --import CentOS Mirror cat /etc/os-release This method has been used by me before but I do not guarantee that it would still work as this method was long before0 -
What do you need to know about server logs?
What services are failing? All Monitored Services which failed? Which does not start? Could you still access SSH or sshd service is also failing?0 -

Great, then this server is a VPS, as it says CENTOS 6.10 kvm0 -

Then its Easy, Ask your Hosting provider to make a Backup of VPS and then try upgrading. If the VPS breaks, You can restore it0 -

I dont have a clue about the hosting provider, I inherit this server, I am now trying to put it on the right track.. I just want to have it in the right way.. Could you help me with that?0 -
We don't recommend upgrading servers in place from CentOS 6 to 7 using those details as a large majority of them do fail. The only recommendation we have for this work is to migrate to a different machine where CentOS 7 was installed originally. It's possible the issue could be resolved on the current system, but version 86 is no longer supported, and is 4 versions behind the latest stable release 0 -

I have full access to it, SSH, WHM & Cpanel0 -

I can but I thnk according to cPanel Forums terms, I am not allowed to share any of my Contact or Personal Details. You can Try cPanel Support Access. But still, If you need help with direct server, ankesh@cloudmate.in0 -

As he said, You can have a Cloudlinux trial and upgrade CentOS to CloudLinux. Then after trial is expiring, Revert back but to CentOS7 or 8. In that case, You would get upgrade as well0 -
Upgrading to CloudLinux is definitely the easiest option for the situation you have described. While there is an additional fee for that software, it does allow you to do some research and plan the migration. 0 -
Ok, I think, in the meantime, I will have to ran those commands in case the server goes down again. At least, until I see the way of doing the upgrade.. 0 -
It just happened again :( :( :( 0 -
Was that when trying to access WHM? If so, do you see any additional details in the /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log file? 0 -

It just happens, I tried to reload WebMail and failed, reload cPanel and failed, WHM and failed. Thats how I know it goes down.. And that error msg appears.. I could enter with nano to that log if you want..0
