Blackhole on exim logs
Hello everyone.
I face a situation where :
A user received an email but it didn't come in to his inbox and also there are no logs in track delivery but according to /var/log/exim_maillog it received on that email address. What does it mean?
The log file as follow:

Can any explain what does mean of "2021-04-19 12:51:10 1lYOgX-00Ap6m-E2 => :blackhole: " line

Hey there! Inside cPanel you'll see an option for Default Address, and if that is set to the bottom "Discard (Not Recommended)" option under the "Advanced" settings, that is the blackhole. You can confirm this by trying it with a test domain if you'd like, and you'll get output similar to this: cPanel will forward all unrouted email for "cptest.com" to ":blackhole:".0 -
So it means that if an email address does not exist then it will redirect emails to blackhole (his cPanel username email user)? If that's true then my email address is already created and I not find any email which I have shared logs of above. 0 -
Sorry for my previous reply, the email address was incorrect, and that why the email was not found. 0 -
That's correct - since the email was incorrect, but still routed to your domain, the default address setting will control that and send it to :blackhole: I'm glad you were able to find the issue with the address itself. 0
