Disable/Change Autodiscover?
For a split domain (where nameservers points to cPanel hosting and cPanel is configured as local mail exchanger, but email is also forwarded from cPanel hosting to a 3rd party hosted Exchange service or Office 365), how can the cPanel autodiscover record be removed and replaced with a CNAME record (which is required for hosted Exchange / Office 365 configuration) ?
Should this just be done manually through the DNS Zone Editor? Removing the autodiscover record put there by cPanel and then adding the CNAME autodiscover record?
Or is there a better way to do this?
Thanks!

Hey there! That would need to be done manually after the account is created. You can keep the default autodiscover record from being created but that would affect all accounts, and there isn't a way to detect the custom record during account creation. 0 -
So in the individual cPanel accounts, the best way to do this would be to just manually delete the existing cPanel autodiscover record (in DNS Zone Editor) and then create the CNAME autodiscover record? Or is tehre a better way to do this on an individual cPanel account? 0 -
That would be the way I'd perform this work. You could also do this directly through WHM as well if you didn't want to access each cPanel account to edit the DNS zone. 0
