Cloud only Vs. Metal
Can someone explain what the difference is between Cloud and Metal licences? It really isn't clear in any cpanel documentation.
I have dedicated server that only I use and host 2 websites on each on a dedicated IP. Hivelocity (where my server is located) only provides cpanel/whm for $45 (minimum). When you're paying $99 for a server that's a huge price.
There is a big difference between $45 for unwanted extras and $15 for a solo account... but Solo is "cloud only". Assuming I buy direct from cpanel, can I buy a cloud only licence to go on a dedicated server?

If you have more than 1 but 5 or less accunts you need the Admin license, $22 / month.0 -
The Admin licence is cloud only too. "Cloud" is such a misnomer because there is no definitive description. Can I use a cloud version on a dedicated server? 0 -
It more or less translates to "VPS" or "Dedicated" You would not be able to use the Cloud version if the software detects a Dedicated system. 0
