Hey there! cPanel doesn't provide assistance for managing the server's firewall, so if you're having difficulty getting that port opened it would be best to speak with your hosting provider or datacenter so they can check the network outside of the machine and ensure things are working well there. They may also be able to check the port as well.

This is what i got reply from them Thank you for the message and also for your call. Be kindly advised that Contabo by default, does not restrict any port access. Any port can be freely used for whichever application. We provide our customers full administrative permissions, so any network setting or firewall configuration is completely up to your hands. Please make sure that your services are running and listening on the unblocked ports

Thanks for checking that. Can you run this command on the server to ensure there is a service listening? netstat -lpn | grep 2096

Interesting - by default, I would expect something to be listening on port 2096 on that server, as that is the default port for webmail. It's odd that the netstat command doesn't show anything there. It's possible the port is open just fine, but there simply isn't anything to connect to. It sounds like there may be other issues with the machine than just the port. Could you open a ticket with our support team so we can check this for you? Please post the ticket number here so I can follow along and keep this thread updated.
