Deferred email limit
Hello,
I've read the docs but i don't get it completely. Suppose you've got the following settings:
Max hourly emails per domain: 300
The percentage of email messages (above the account"s hourly maximum) to queue and retry for delivery: 200%
Maximum percentage of failed or deferred messages a domain may send per hour: 20%
Number of failed or deferred messages a domain may send before protections can be triggered: 10
Say a domain sends 350 messages in an hour getting over the 300 mph limit. But the 50 exceeded messages are included in the 200% so they will be queued.
The question is: this 50 messages are taken into account when calculating the deferred messages per hour?
So if this domain gets 10 bounces the Max % of deferred messages is reached: 20% x 300 = 60 and 10 bounces + 50 queued = 60. And its greater than 10 (num. of deferred mph).
Maybe a silly question but I need to undestand this function properly to explain the limits to our users.
Thank you!

I believe those are not taken into account. All of the 4 settings includes a threshold which triggers the block on that domain. The first option is a threshold taken affect after the email traffic is already suspended on the domain. 0 -
Does this article help? What does the defer and failures (x/5) message really mean? 0 -
Hello mlopez! I found the following information in our documentation that I think might answer your question: [QUOTE] Your server will temporarily block outgoing mail from a domain if both of the following conditions are true: - The percentage of failed or deferred messages, out of the total number of messages that the domain sent, is equal to or greater than the percentage that you specify for the Maximum percentage of failed or deferred messages a domain may send per hour option.
- The domain has sent at least the number of failed or deferred messages that you specify for the Number of failed or deferred messages a domain may send before protections can be triggered option.
