Please try yum clean all and yum update again, the problem was fixed, there must have been a faulty update. The final state; [root@server3 ~]# httpd -v Server version: Apache/2.4.48 (cPanel) Server built: Jun 3 2021 03:58:15

The yum clean/install did not resolve the issue in my case unfortunately

I also have incoming notifications: The service "httpd" appears to be down (failed to connect to this service's TCP/IP port)

@dirklammert - I would expect another "yum update" to resolve the issues at this time. If not, please let me know!

After the first update last night, we run another update later today. The issue persists. We have a cPanel ticket with ID #94331988 no update yet. Fix urgently required.

@dirklammert - someone will be replying very soon to that ticket as I've made sure to give that some priority on my end.

After our team reviewed the issue, we found very low configuration values for ServerLimit and MaxRequestWorkers that were keeping requests from being properly handled. Once those are adjusted I would expect things to work normally, but this isn't something that would have been related to the recent update issue.

We use the event mpm so there was some confusion regarding the config values. However they are correct and the cpanel engineers are looking further
