Cpanel Licensing Question

Hey there! It's very easy - all you have to do is decide where you're going to purchase the license from, make the purchase, and then run this command to update things on the server side: /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt
You will have to wait until the old license is expired as there can't be two licenses active under the same IP address. Let me know if you need anything else!

What happens if i let my license expire? Will there be downtime?

If it does expire the sites will stay up and running, but you won't be able to access cPanel, WHM, or login to email. Other services involving authentication will be affected as well.

But when I purchase the license, will it activate immediately?

It will activate as soon as you run the command on the server.

Oh, I see so there will be downtime but it will be minimal once i run the command from the server?

That's correct - the downtime is only limited to how fast you can log in and run that command.

Hello! Follow up question, does cpanel accept debit cards? (Mastercard/Visa)

As far as I know we do, but that would be a question for the Customer Service team at the time you make your purchase.

Hello! I have successfully renewed my license here on cpanel using debit card! Thank you very much! What day of the month does cpanel bill me for renewal?

Licenses get billed on the first of every month if they are purchased directly through us.
