Wordpress Websites doesn't work with alt-ea74
Hi
I administrate a cPanel shared hosting server and for security reasons i need to upgrade php version of websites that are hosted there.
I am facing an issue that the version which is required is PHP 7.4 but wordpress website does not work with version alt-php74 and also with alt-php72, they works with ea-php72.
Since ea-php74 is not yet launched to be as an option of MultiPHP manager. could you support me on what to do in order to make wordpress websites compatible with alt-php74 ?
Thank you in advance
Silvi

alt-php versions are CloudLinux versions of PHP which can be both changed through MultiPHP Manager and PHP Selector. Generally, Wordpress supports alt-php versions but if any extensions are not enabled, It does not work. Could you check if the Wordpress Required extensions are enabled? Also, alt-php is faster than ea-php but The Server default should always be set with ea-php versions so that cPanel Server may work properly. If enabling extensions server wide did not help, Could you share Webserver Errors located at cPanel>Errors ? 0 -
I would also tend to agree that it is likely a missing extension or configuration issue. There isn't a particular reason that any alt-php version would not work with WordPress. Can you let us know what specific errors you're getting when you try and use the alt-php version? 0
