Hey there! Can you let me know what version of Ubuntu you are trying to use? Currently we only support version 20.04.

Ah, I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 As I understood it from what I read here (System Requirements for Ubuntu | cPanel & WHM Documentation), Ubuntu 20.04 is "experimental" and shouldn't be used in a production environment

Thanks for that - I believe it's just a misunderstanding issue. We're saying that cPanel on Ubuntu is still experimental right now as it's not an official release. Any version of cPanel on Ubuntu is experimental, including 20.04. You are still welcome to do some testing with 20.04, but we don't recommend it for production work. The installer will not work with Ubuntu version 18.
