550 Invalid RDNS entry for xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Hi cPanel Community,
Would like to seek assistance regarding this error. One of our client is sending an email to a specific recipient address, then based on the track delivery logs, the first log shows an invalid RDNS entry and then followed by an Accepted log (the same sender and recipient), moreover, the RDNS is configured correctly when checked via Email Deliverability. The PTR is set up correctly. But why is the aforementioned error still occurring? Attaching are the images for reference.
Hoping for your assistance. Thank you!

Hi Hope you are doing well for your issue you can check the following link : '550 No rDNS entry for x.y.z.n' explained and resolved they mostly covered the issue. 0 -
@blackwidow02 - let us know if the link provided by @devil2580 doesn't help. If not, you may need to reach out to our team directly as we'd need to check the actual domains and IP addresses in order to determine the source of the issue. 0 -
Hi @devil2580 & @cPRex , I've tried to check and follow the link given by devl2580 but everything is all set on our client's dedicated server (as indicated also on the screenshot) with a valid PTR. And this RDNS issue just happened to a certain recipient. In case direct checking is needed, do I just need to submit a ticket directly to cPanel Support using the dedicated server involved? I may be using a different login there (company account). Thank you! 0 -
Yes - you'd submit the ticket from the server you have root access to. If you do create a ticket, please post the number here so I can follow along and make sure this thread gets updated. 0 -
Hi @cPRex Here is the ticket number for reference #94361392. Thank you! 0 -
It looks like William and Brian were able to clear up some of the confusion about the rDNS records on the system and hosting provider, but let me know if you need anything else! 0 -
Hi @cPRex , Yes, they were able to assist me regarding this issue. I guess the problem is occurring on the remote side since everything on our server-side is configured properly especially the rDNS. Thank you! 0 -
