Account can't be terminated
cPanel version - v98.0.9
I can't terminate an account. The following error occurs.
Hook denied execution of killacct: Failed to handle event Accounts::Remove. Error: We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things: #1) Respect the privacy of others. #2) Think before you type. #3) With great power comes great responsibility. sudo: no tty present and no askpass program specified Password change aborted.
Any Ideas?
Regards
Craig

Hey there! Do you see anything inside the /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log file on the system when you attempt to remove the account? That would likely give you more details on what may be causing the issue. 0 -
Hi I don't see anything relevant to todays error, the last entry in the error_log is 23-Apr-2021 0 -
We might need some more advanced tools, like stracing the account termination process. Feel free to submit a ticket to our team and we can check this out - just post the ticket number here so I can follow along. 0 -

Thanks for that - I'm following along with that on my end now as well. 0 -
If this helps anyone, I had to disable Wordpress Toolkit in Manage Hooks Accounts Remove:: /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/wp-toolkit/bin/handle-event. WP Toolkit was no longer on the server. 0 -
