Cpanel reading file size incorrectly

Has anyone notice this or is this a cpanel issue? Not sure if it's normal. In public_html, there's a folder, say wp-content, and the file size indicates it's 4MB. But when you go in, you will see several sub-folders with the same size. Is this a bug or is this how cpanel reads it?

  Hello! It's normal to see this. Obviously the contents of the directory will usually be larger or smaller than that number, but that initial disk space reading reports that way.

  Thanks for the reply Anthony. The reason we asked is that we're trying to figure out which files needed to be removed that are taking a huge amount of space. With this being said, seeing an inaccurate reading on the files size is a bit difficult for normal users to find which is which. Is this going to be fixed or this will be a permanent pattern on the server?
