FTP Stuck retrieving directory list

Good evening, When I try to connect through FTP to one of my domains, the connection get stuck on "retrieving directory list", it only works if I set FTP connexion to passive. I need help to connect normally.

  Which FTP are you using? Do you have CSF? If so, you may need to make sure that the Passive Port Range in the FTP server are added to the firewall's TCP_IN range.

  I use Filezilla. Yes I have CSF installed, for what I talked with my provider there's already rules in it to work normally, as they claim they can connect normaly, I tried to login from my home's network without antivirus or firewall so it wasn't blocking the connections with no luck.   Based on this doc: How to Enable FTP Passive Mode | cPanel & WHM Documentation I'd double-check that 49152:65534 in in the TCP_IN setting.

  Okey, I see in csf.conf that those ports are not included in the incoming ports... I'll talk with our provider to make the modifications and see if that solves the issue. Thank you ffeingol.

  In 99% of the cases the issue those ports and what @ffeingol said should resolve this. Keep us updated!

  Okey, it seems that filezilla tries to connect through active mode, if I set the settings to passive manually, everything works fine, still don't know why my server doesn't respond to that petition or why filezilla tries active mode automatically.
