411 Length required when auto uploading backups to Google Cloud Storage (S3)
-
HI You must provide the Content-Length HTTP header Regards HostNoc 0 -
That is apparently obvious. However the thing is that it is the cpanel backup script that is doing the backup, so it must provide the content length header when it encounters any backup that is more than one part. And apparently it is not doing that. Im using the standard cpanel features, this is not a custom feature. 0 -
Hello! It looks like there could be various issues happening here. Would you be able to open a ticket using the link in my signature and update me once done? 0 -
Were you able to get this resolved?
Nope. It turned out that there is no way to use Google Storage with cPanel backup. It just doesn't work.0 -
I'm sorry to hear that; thank you for the update. 0 -
Hi CPanel Team,
Was this issue ever resolved? We've just added some Google Cloud Buckets to our backup locations and are getting 411 errors when the main backup process tries to do the transfer (the location verifies without issue, it only errors when the actual backup process tries to transfer the main files).
All the best,

Julian Stopps - I don't see that this has been resolved on our end. Are you seeing the exact same error as the OP in the logs?

Hi cPRex,
Yes we are seeing the exact same error when trying to store backup in Google Cloud Storage buckets.
All the best,

Thanks for the confirmation. I don't see that this has been resolved but we are tracking this in case CPANEL-46247 and you can follow along for updates here:
I've also let the developers know this needs to be reevaluated as users are still running into this issue.
