Domain showing another website on the server
Hi,
Having am issue with one domain, it is now showing another domain website that is on the server.
I was in the process of updating the cpanel SSL certificate on the domain, and removed the expired one, so that the new new would install as it is still pending in the queue. Since that was removed the site is now showing another domains website that is on the server. How can I fix this. The DNS look fine to me on both domains. The website that is showing doesn't use the server nameservers but the A record points to the server IP address.
If anyone can help it would be most grateful
Many thanks
Neil

Hello, It's not a DNS issue, it's a SSL issue. If you request a site https and the cert is not there, Apache will show the first site in the config file that has a valid SSL. The easiest solution is to get the SSL issues as quickly as possible. 0 -
Yes, ffeingol is correct it is an SSL issue. Install the valid SSL certificate for the concerned domain to fix it. 0 -
Thank you too you both. Unfortunately the cpanel autossl is still pending, so I have purchased a new SSL certificate, and all install and the site is now back working again. Thanks for your answer ffeingol 0 -

Sorry for bumping the old thread. Is there any way to show a specific webpage (where a message will be specified as "SSL needs to be installed or something like that" the users who don't have a valid SSL instead of showing random websites/domains? 0 -
From memory, you'd need to have a dummy site (with the page you want) as the first site in the Apache config for that to work. Very hard to do after the fact. 0
