Applying package to subdomain

I have a whm account with an unlimited package and I need to apply a different package to a subdomain on that account I can create all ok, and all works OK, but the new package I select for the subdomain does not carry over. In the subdomain cpanel the unlimited package is inherited apparently. so am getting the unlimited packag Any help would be much appreciated

  Hello! To confirm, you're creating a subdomain as a cPanel account and the package you selected isn't working?

  @russromei - just for additional clarification, can you confirm if you are creating the subdomain through cPanel or through WHM?

  That sounds odd, and isn't something I'm able to reproduce on my end when I tested that just now. Since the subdomain is a unique cPanel account, I would not expect there to be any interaction between the primary domain or the package assigned to it. Could you open a support ticket with our team so we can investigate that directly on the system?
