Will e-mail be lost after transferring domain

Hello everyone, My friend has an e-mail address she accesses through webmail.[herdomain].com. Her username is info@[herdomain].com. Tomorrow she will transfer her domain to a new registrar and we are wondering if she is at risk of losing her old e-mails. Our understanding is that the webmail box is hosted here in cPanel and is completely independent from the domain, so she will only have to reconfigure DNS after the domain has been transferred to make sure new e-mails keep coming, but she will not lose any of her old mails. Can anyone please confirm. :) Thank you

  If the domain's nameservers don't change then the emails (and everything else in the cPanel) are safe.

  Correct - the domain registration is completely independent from the hosting so nothing will change with the emails or site.
