Moving /home to new disk
Hello,
I've just added a new disk on my server and wish to transfer /home to this new disk. I've made rsync first but now, between the end of the rsync and old disk unmount/new disk mount, I can have a data loss.
So I'm asking, can I remount /home in read-only first, and resync data one last time, before mounting the new disk on /home? Should I shutdown some services during this read-only mount?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Will you remove the old disk under /home? If not then you can keep the old disk mounted as /home and mount the new disk as /home1 the under Basic Settings in WHM you can specify the new home folder and cPanel will automatically create new accounts on the disks where it has the most space available. 0 -
If you aren't actually changing the names, the method @andrew.n suggests is the easiest plan for sure. If you are planning to mount the new disk as /home, your plan of read-only mounting will likely work well. 0
