Nginx causes issues on one particular joomla installation
Hello,
I'm facing an issue with Nginx where on one particular Joomla setup it gives a hard time to admins to log in without clearing the nginx cache after working on the site for a bit more than 20 minutes.
So here is the issue: If an admin logs into the backend he can work just fine for quite some time. Then if they leave their PC unattended for about 10 minutes the system requires them to log back in. This is normal as Joomla does that. However, when they try to relogin, they get redirected to the home page and cannot log in unless I go and clear the nginx cache from the panel backend.
Is there a way to disable the nginx cache from the admin area of that Joomla installation? I do not want to disable it altogether for the entire account.

If you have root acces to whm in the NGINX manager you can disable cache globaly or by user. 0 -
@Alexandros Androutsos - thanks for reporting this. I'm going to file a case with our webserver team so they can check this out. Once that is done I'll post the number here so we can all follow along, but it will likely be tomorrow before I get to that at this point. In the mean time, you can extend the admin session time through the Joomla admin panel. You can find details on that here: 0 -
@Alexandros Androutsos - I actually wasn't able to reproduce this problem. I installed Joomla on a system running Nginx, I logged into the admin interface, let my browser just sit to Joomla would apply the timeout to the login session, and when I logged back in I was taken into the interface at the page I expected. If you have a server where we can reproduce this problem could you please submit a ticket to our team and then post the number here so I can follow along? 0
